Wreaths Across America

Brown Trucking Company is proud to continue to be a member of Wreaths Across America’s Honor Fleet. Each year, with the help of hundreds of volunteer trucking companies, Wreaths Across America is able to honor our Nations Fallen Heroes. The trucks that are responsible for carrying thousands of Veteran’s Wreaths to a growing number of participating cemeteries across the United States are called the Honor Fleet. Since 2014 CVO Ken Fooshee, from our Lithonia, GA location, has been a member of this fleet. This year we are thrilled to share that in addition to Ken, CVO Lenore Riley from our Montgomery, AL location joined the fleet.

Ken, originally from Savannah, GA, began his tenure with Brown as an Owner-Operator in 2012. This year, Ken delivered wreaths to the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL for the Barrancas National Cemetery. Ken proudly continues to volunteer for this rewarding event and says that he "looks forward to teaching others what Wreaths Across America is about, as well as why we make the sacrifice to remember our fallen, honor those who serve and teach our children the value of freedom."

Lenore is new to the Brown family in Montgomery. She started working with us earlier this year and has not participated in the WAA campaign before but enjoyed the opportunity to support their mission this week. She delivered wreaths to Crownsville Veteran Cemetery in Maryland.

Thank you, Ken and Lenore, for your service to Brown and to the Wreaths Across America campaign! Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, their mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
