Warehousing - Inventory Quality Control Supervisor

Position overview:

Position reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager.

Operate MHE in consistent, safe, and reliable manner. Prompt work attendance with minimal unplanned absences. Oversees the product by receiving and accounting for items in a warehouse inventory and recording the data either manually or by computer. All inventory will be kept organized and readily accessible at all times. Deliver satisfactory service to customer and achieve required performance goals, maintain daily KPI’s. Develop and maintain Quality Management System, supervise quality control team.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM

                 Sunday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety guidelines.
  • Performs physical counts of inventory items in order to maintain an accurate inventory
  • Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis
  • Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity
  • Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately and on-time
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
  • Identify and repair damaged pallets
  • Supervise the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including daily. weekly and monthly reports
  • Place inventory on hold and ship products needed for credit returns.
  • Tracks, monitors and reports damage product to customer upon receipt as well as in-house.
  • Makes necessary system transactions and disposition based on customer’s direction.

  • Count, weigh, and otherwise determine the actual quantity of inventory being handled

  • Provide timely and accurate communication to site customer service personnel
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks to standard
  • Employee may perform other related projects and duties as assigned
  • Ensures Quality standards are being achieved
  • Auditing of quality process
  • Provide accurate data for trend in quality
  • Create SOP’s and train

Required skills:

Education

  • High school diploma required or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • One to two years of relevant experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Prior use of MHE and/or prior MHE certification
  • Exemplary mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word and Excel)
  • Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed
  • Must demonstrate responsible work habits and satisfy pre-employment requirements, including background check and drug screen.
  • Knowledge of RF scanners required.

Environment and physical requirements

  • Communication with people
  • Must be able to sit a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and must be able to stand/climb stairs as required
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, crouch, and reach above shoulder level on regular basis
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds on regular basis
  • Position may be exposed to shipping and receiving docks, material handling equipment, and warehouse personnel
