What you’ll be doing

This position will ensure the Company’s compliance with Federal and State Transportation Regulations with a heavy concentration within the Hours of Service (Driver Logs) for our Company’s Commercial Vehicle Operators.

What the role involves

Overview
 
Scan, audit, and counsel Commercial Vehicle Operators in assigned terminal locations.
 
Report late and missing logs to Terminal Managers & Safety and Compliance Manager.
 
Report repeat offenders to the Safety &Compliance Manager.
 
Update CVO terminations through our internal database and external reporting systems.
 
Scan and file the completed Driver Qualification and Lease file.
 
Scan renewed cab cards, driver licenses, and tractor reports, and file.
 
Perform additional related duties and assignments as directed by Management.

What we’re looking for

Required
 
2 years Vocational/Technical School or 3+ years experience in transportation/logistics.
 
Working knowledge of Federal and State Transportation Regulations.
 
The ability to multi-task in various areas throughout the day.
 
General office and computer experience is necessary.
 
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
 
The ability to function in a fast-paced operating environment is critical.
Environment and Physical Requirements:

The majority of the time is progressive administrative duties directly related within the confines of an office setting. There may be travel by auto required. Duties include administrative functions using the phone, computer, and communicating with people. There will be minimal exposure to fumes, dust, and noise.

This job will require occasional lifting of no more than 30 pounds. While performing these duties minimum bending of the waist, wrist, and shoulders is customary. Must be able to sit a minimum of 8 hours per day, perform keyboard operations a minimum of 6 hours per day, and must be able to stand and climb stairs as required.
